Ballet/Tap Combo Class

Students taking this class get the benefit of learning two dance forms while parents benefit by only paying for one class and not two. Ballet is the foundation subject for all other forms of dance and is designed to develop a dancer’s strength, technique & flexibility. This class will consist of barre work, center floor, across the floor progressions & choreography.

Tap dance emphasizes the flow of movement by teaching the dancer to find rhythms and beats not only in music but in their own bodies.

Jazz

Jazz dance combines techniques of classical ballet and lyrical dance with the current forms of popular dance. Jazz also has its own movement vocabulary ranging from the isolation of certain body parts to the movement of the entire body with the accents of musical rhythms. Emphasis is on the importance of energy, rhythmical accuracy, technique, flexibility and style. Each level of jazz is a continuation of the previous level and increases in difficulty.
